Fundraiser Held For Johnny Cash’s Boyhood Home

Johnny Cash’s daughter, Rosanne, held a fundraiser concert at the Governor’s Mansion on Thursday to raise money for new amenities around his Dyess Colony home in northeast Arkansas. Arkansas State University is looking to raise $500,000 to add a barn, smokehouse, outhouse, and chicken coop.

Shane Broadway, with A-State, said $25,000-30,000 was raised on Thursday. Governor Hutchinson also announced he’ll be committing $100,000 to A-State’s Heritage Sites program and Johnny Cash’s Boyhood Home from the general improvement fund.
